Business Opportunities
What do The Sentinel, Bones, The Simple Life, Mission: Impossible III, The Good Shepherd, Rachel Ray’s Tasty Travels, American Idol, and Thank You for Smoking have in common? A part of each was filmed in Washington, DC. To pave the way for greater participation in the industry by businesses in the District of Columbia, we publish the Production Resource Guide and have begun the Film DC Incentive Program. The Production Resource Guide includes listings of businesses and organizations that service the film and video industry.
To be listed, you must:
- Be located in Washington, DC or the metropolitan area.
- Provide three recent references from film, TV or video productions.
- Include a current resume or letter on company letterhead.
- Complete this application form* and mail to:

The Film DC Incentive Program sends a clear signal to the film and television industry that the District is film friendly and wants their business! Local businesses that sign up and star in the program offer producers filming in the District a 10 percent discount on all production-related services. Here is the current list* of the participants in the Film DC Incentive Program.
